Vehicle Description 1966 Pontiac GTO.
Original Cameo Ivory exterior, per previous owner, paint respray is over 20 years old.
Automatic transmission, California emissions car.
Original 335hp, YS XE coded 389 motor with Carter AFB Carb were rebuilt in 2016 and works and runs great.
The radiator, original Harrison re-cored 2016, cost over $425.
00.
Could have chosen cheaper with an aluminum aftermarket but decision to have the original re-cored so it would look right was the correct choice.
Factory air, steering on the car, even with the bias ply tires, is tight.
I was told when I bought the car that the front end was reasonably new and had less than 3500 miles on it.
I have not physically inspected the control arms, ball joints or tie rods but I have no reason to suspect they weren't replaced.
I have driven it on back roads, state routes and the intestate, at speeds, with no issues.
The new badges dress it up a lot, new bumpers look great.
New, polished stainless wheel well trim looks great with them Rally one's.
New blue interior, new foam in the seats make for a comfortable cruise.
The new headliner carpet, and vinyl dash pad dress up the interior.
Correct PMD floor mats, front and rear, purchased from Ames.
The dash has an aftermarket tach in it.
Not stock but doesn't look bad and is functional.
AM radio works, nothing to get too excited about.
Ha! I use blue tooth music from my iPhone.
The requirement is I play only music from the 70's.
LOL! It has its original trunk and floors.
As you will see, everything is done with quality components, except the tach.
I just have not gotten to it.
My intentions with the GTO, I intended to tinker with it in retirement, but realized my body would not be up to the task required so reluctantly will be passing this beautiful GTO on.
Lets negotiate.
My asking price $35,995.
