Position Information Posting Number S01483 Position Title Administrative Assistant Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Working Title Administrative Assistant Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Position Number Position Type Non-exempt Division and Department Information Division President's Office Department Center for Spirituality Social Justice Posting Information Job Summary/Basic Function Position provides administrative and clerical support to the Office of Equity and Inclusivity, including the Director of Spirituality and Social Justice & Director of the Asbell Center for Jewish Life.
This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to effectively interact with all of Dickinson College, including students, parents, faculty, staff and community constituents.
Successful candidate must have a demonstrated record of attention to detail and be able to work well with minimal supervision.
Essential Funtions:
Monitors and updates inventory, time, budget, payroll, and account records for office, monitors expenditures and performs simple analysis on accounts, authorizes and/or approves payments within established guide, procure ritual items and other materials for religious observances, maintain department files, and maintain confidential materials.
Additionally, serves as a front-line resource and support for students.
Support Directors of both centers in scheduling meetings with students and staff, assist in maintaining supervisor's calendar, booking travel, receiving and screening telephone calls and visitors, and interpret and explain establish policies and procedures in response to inquiries from a variety of sources.
Provides support, planning, and coordination for a variety of programs, conferences, seminars, and special events including arranging visits for speakers, prospective students, alumni, and other guests who are participating in the religious, secular, and spiritual life throughout the College.
Provides office operations support for arranging conferences, seminars, and special events including maintaining of the CSSJ and Asbell Center website and EngageD pages and events.
This includes summer programming including Alumni Weekend and Orientation.
Provides logistical support to the Directors of the CSSJ and Asbell Center in the hiring and training student workers, including overseeing payroll and working with Human Resource Services to facilitate the onboarding of new hires.
Additionally serves as a front-front line resource and support for students.
Collaborate with administrative assistants in other academic departments as well as other diversity-related departments, such as Women and Gender Resource Center, Popel Shaw Center, and LGBTQ Center.
Additionally, works with Accounts Payable, Admissions, Alumni Relations, CASE, Fleet, The Print Center, Facilities Student Life, Academic Departments, ADS, Dining Hall Services and other offices related to religious, secular, and spiritual needs on campus.
Provide office operations support for arranging conferences, seminars, and special events including booking travel, booking lodging accommodations, and securing payment for speakers/performers.
Maintain the CSSJ and Asbell Center websites, create and disseminate CSSJ weekly newsletter and religious holiday newsletter, and create and disseminate the Asbell Center weekly newsletter, as needed.
Prepares minutes, notices, manuals, agendas, and correspondence with all supporting documentation, requiring application of specialized knowledge of the assigned function.
Specifically supports the campus religious holiday calendar and the dissemination of religious holiday information throughout the campus community.
Routinely, summarizes reports and information to facilitate review by supervisors.

Bachelor's Degree A valid Driver's Licence is required.
Employees (operators) must have been in possession of a valid operator's license for not less than three (3) years and the license must have been in good standing without interruption during that time period.
No Successful candidate will also be required to complete ACT 153 Clearance No This position is considered Emergency Staff.
As such they may be required to report to work even when the college is closed or is operating under a delayed start.
