Position Information:

This position will work and be paid for 80 hours in a 2 week pay period Typical hours for this position are Monday - Friday 8:
00am - 4:
00pm Current county employees will follow the county's promotion/demotion policy.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for initial screening of approved and official visitors.
This screening process includes positive identification, signing in and securing personal items.
Answers questions of all incoming telephone calls and directs others to appropriate individuals.
Responsible for inspection of incoming legal mail and issuing money receipts for all money orders in accordance with prison policy.
Processes and submits institutional vouchers and invoices for approval and payment.
Sorts, copies, processes and/or files documents, correspondence within the department.
Retrieves material as directed.
Assists with money handling.
Provides support and assistance with work release and trusty inmate payroll to include room and board/transportation calculations, cash allotments, court costs, fines, restitution, and voluntary support.
Attends meetings and/or training sessions as required.
Assists department staff with special projects, reports or assignments as requested.
Maintains files, statistics, manuals, lists or other department documents as requested and as necessary.
Assists staff with clerical duties in absence of other clerical staff members, or as needed.
Performs daily courier duties to/from courthouse and post office.
Performs all clerical duties in the absence of Clerical staff and Accounts officer.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
High School diploma or equivalency, plus some business/clerical and computer training.
Employee must successfully complete the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections' Basic Training Academy.
WORK
Experience:
3 years working experience in an office environment, county government or court system.
Or any acceptable combination of equivalent training and/or experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
