The Hotel Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our hotel facility.
This includes conducting repairs, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and functionality of the hotel property.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas, to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC repairs, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the hotel.
Respond to guest requests for maintenance assistance in a timely and professional manner.
Monitor and maintain the hotel's mechanical systems, including boilers, chillers, and generators, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and systems to minimize downtime and extend their lifespan.
Collaborate with other hotel departments and outside contractors to coordinate repairs and maintenance projects.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and costs incurred.
Assist with maintaining an inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment to support maintenance activities.
Comply with all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both employees and guests.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel or commercial property maintenance.
Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
Availability to work on-call and during weekends or holidays, as needed.
Compensation:
Hourly wage of $18-$20 per hour based on experience.
